Welcome to Mayne Island Strong Start

Open: Tuesday 12:30pm-3:30pm and Thursday 8:40am-11:40am

Our program runs from October to June in alignment with the 性视界 instructional calendar. You will find the entrance to the Strong Start room inside the undercover area next to the school field.

At Strong Start we provide a positive early learning experience for children (aged birth to five years) and their families. Our goal is to create an interactive, play-based environment that supports caregivers and children to enjoy learning together while developing essential skills through music, art, and play. We also emphasize the connection of our early learners with the rest of the school community to build unity and comfort for the eventual transition into the school environment.

Strong Start is a BC Ministry of Education and Child Care funded early learning program where caregivers and their children are supported by skilled early childhood educators. Following the BC's Early Learning Framework, educators create rich learning environments that are thoughtfully designed to foster play-based learning and support early learning development. Families are active participants in supporting their children during Strong Start programming.

Caregivers are asked to complete a registration form for each attending child and sign a daily attendance when attending the program.
